My name is John Malta and I am an illustrator from East Cleveland Ohio.
Currently I am living, working, and attending grad school at the School of Visual Arts Illustration As Visual Essay MFA Program in New York City.
I am also a contributing writer to the Los Angeles based contemporary art publication Beautiful/Decay.

I designed these shirts last year for Blood is the New Black’s summer 2011 season and now they are available through their web shop! The designs are based off of a zine I made about fictitious New York City street gangs.
